Science in Action Bringing the Primary Curriculum to Life Through Movement
At Pe Pro we believe learning should never be confined to a desk. That’s why we’ve developed our workshops! This week at our partner school, Ling Bob J&I we delivered a Science in Action workshop - an exciting way for primary schools to cover key science topics while getting pupils moving, thinking, and exploring.
Our workshops link science directly to physical education, helping children not only understand complex concepts but also experience them in action. It’s an engaging and memorable approach that boosts retention, sparks curiosity, and promotes healthy physical activity at the same time.
What We Teach
Our Science in Action sessions cover a wide range of curriculum topics, including:
Recognising human body parts – learning through fun games and activities.
Forces – discovering push, pull, and gravity through movement.
The skeletal system – understanding how our bones support us while keeping active.
The circulatory system – exploring how blood moves around the body with interactive challenges.
By blending science with physical activity, students get to see and feel science in motion, which makes the learning experience unforgettable.
Why Schools Love It
Teachers tell us our workshops are a fantastic way to:
Enrich the existing curriculum with hands-on learning.
Inspire pupils who learn best through movement and play.
Promote teamwork, problem-solving, and curiosity.
Encourage a lifelong love for science and physical activity.
The Impact
Children don’t just learn about science — they live it. Running to mimic blood circulation, building teamwork games to demonstrate forces, or acting out how bones support the body makes science meaningful, active, and fun.
